“If you don’t have time for things that matter, stop doing things that don’t.”

I read that in a post on social media today. Sounds simple. It’s straightforward. Just do it.

Right?

Actually, no.

Here’s the thing – if it were that simple and straightforward, you would have done it already. You are smart enough, skilled enough and accomplished enough to have checked that box.

So what gets in your way? Why is this simple thing so difficult?

The truth is that you’ve been trained to do all the outer stuff.

The inner knowing – that was never taught. Worse than that, it was dismissed. You were trained to listen and do what you were told.

You do it well. Now it’s time to take all that excellence and point it to yourself.

Having time for the things that matter requires you to step inside.

  • Away from the belief that you just need to do one more thing.
  • Away from the voices pulling you in 12 directions.
  • Away from all the solutions vying for your attention on your social media.

Investing in You

Investing a small amount into you, into tools and practices designed for you to begin to know you – who you are, what you truly want, etc. – that’s where you get the real returns. That’s when the guesswork goes away, when the noise fades into the background and time expands.

How do you build a life that’s built on ALIGNMENT instead of obligation?

Dr. Govindappa Venkataswamy (Dr. V)

It’s an inside job.

It’s time to stop the outer ‘busy’ and start honoring the you that is more than what you ‘do’.

It’s time to step into who you were meant to be.

The question to start with is: What might your life look like if you lived it on purpose, with joy, and in full alignment? Get out a pen and write down your thoughts – and then share them with us!
